Being a sober member of AA for the past 22+ years, I know several hundred (possibly over 1000) alcoholics in various stages of recovery. The internet has allowed me to renew and maintain contact with many of them. My travels have taken me to both US coasts three times and I get to go to meetings all over the country.

A few, but what is the difference in some one who drinks almost everyday, to someone who drinks morning till night? I know the first type, the one who will usually have many drinks at night, but lead a normal day.

Seriously we have one up the street in our village he borrowed our wheel barrow a few weeks back and when he returned it he stood on the doorstep holding the handles and was so wasted he had forgotten why he was there!
Sad or what?
I had to say
'Have you brought our wheel barrow back John?'
