it's a role playing game, lots of fun to play, especally it's latest incarnation... I guess they are making an x-box/ vista game too... i think i might need an x-box360 now...

A shadow run could mean a variety of different things if it is in the case of business a shadow run is when the next owner or CEO follows around the head guy for a few months up to a year to see what he does. This is more common for a principal or superintendent for schools. But if it is strictly about actual running it is when you do a long distance by yourself only your shadow is with you.

Shadow run is a fantasty world set in 2050 where the world is a series of cororate states and there is magic. The story is based on awakening when a number of people turned into trolls,orcselves,dwarves and some gained magical power
Its kind of like Blade Runner and Dungeons and Dragons mixed together. There is role playing game video games and novels

to elaborate on Dansmith's post- Shadowrun was originally an RPG book and a very popular one. The Magic and cyberpunk stuff's spot on.
