What bladed weapon is the U.S.A known for?

No guns, No atom bombs, No tanks, Only weapons for martial arts.

The USA really came along after the need for bladed weapons for 'martial arts' - sure the USA has used bayonets, cavalry swords, various knives (Bowie, etc). But as for martial arts, I believe it was Indiana Jones who showed it best:

a sling blade.... some folks call it a kaiser blade but i call it a sling blade...

or perhaps the bayonet?

or during the civil war the cavalry saber was used especially well by the confederate forces who were short of ammunition
