Since we are talking horror, it would almost be mandatory to have Type O and Rob Zombie.

Type O Negative - Creepy Green Light or Haunted
Rob Zombie - Spookshow Baby or The Ballad of Resurrection Joe and Rosa Whore
Ego Likeness - Water to the Dead
Switchblade Symphony - Bad Trash
Skinny Puppy - Cult
Rosetta Stone - The Witch
She Wants Revenge - Red Flags And Long Nights
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Gateway to Hell
Mudvayne - Not Falling - this one was actually on the soundtrack to Ghost Ship, but it's a killer track.
Miranda Sex Garden - Peep Show

Depends. Mostly on the scene. I guess, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters (for sure), Smashing Pumpkins, Powerman 5000 (kind creepy), Rage Against the Machine (suspense full scenes), Perfect Circle (foreshadowing scenes), The Cure... umm... Sekta Core (for those really weird scenes), Nickle Back, Placebo, Rob Zombie (for sure), umm....Musfits, Third Eye Blind... A lot. Really depends on the scene. I'm a movie person, so I know music makes all the difference. Any help ask me :)

The sad part has to have 'Stairway to Heaven"

When the good guys are fighting back...."We Will Rock You"

When the slightly heavy romantic interest saves the day " Fat Bottomed Girls Make the Rocking World go Round"

Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie

Anything from Rob Zombie actually, Ozzy, Judas Priest ..

More recent stuff - I would reccomend Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Soilwork has some good songs ...

Good luck !

Often using something that acts as counterpoint to the horror will make the work more interesting, like a cute lullaby while a killer is stalking the hallways.

''he calls the mansion not a house but a tomb,'' and stuff like that like ''say good by to the vows you take and all the cyanide you drank'' and stuff, but listen to it, youll like it
