1. I do. He's not the best president, but he does a good job overall.

2. 36 percent of America does as well.

3. 80% of the 27 million Iraqis like him because he freed them from a dictator as bad as Hitler.

Hope that helps. He may not be the most popular guy in the world, but sometimes doing the right thing isn't a popularity contest.

Politics aside, he is probably a nice enough guy. I am 46 years old and I have learned throughout my life that people are usually quite different away from work than they are at work. We all take on a different personna at work especially if we are in a position of authority and importance. I have known many individuals who are completely different when not in the "office". I hate catholicisim and most everything it stands for but I think that the late pope John Paul II was most likely a great person and I would have loved to have gone fishing with him as long as the conversation didn't include religion and the same goes for Bush as long as the subject didn't center on politics. We all have a good side to us as well as a negative side and the biggest mistake I think Bush made was some if not most of his choices of advisers and cabinet members. Who knows what the world would be like today if he had made better decisions about the people he surrounded himself with. We've all made the same mistake.

Actually, more people like him than Congress.
That's right. The Liberal Congress, which thinks it has a moral superiority and is ordained by the People to oust Bush, has a lower approval rating than he does.
What does THAT tell you?

I feel bad, really, for all the people who hate Bush and blame him for all their troubles. I feel bad for the people who have such little life that they need to invent dozens of conspiracies in their minds to pin on him. I feel bad for those who don't realize that this isn't pre-9/11 America. The world has changed.

For all those who really believe he is so bad... I remind everyone that America is a free country and you can always move elsewhere if you really believe things to be so corrupt here.
It's sad, really, that people can be so naive to believe Bush is responsible for everything.

Is the Brave man popular amongst the cowards? Is the good man liked by the sinners? Is the Wise man respected by fools?
The rage and bitter hatred flowing from the left of this country, and their allies in the Democrat Party and and the Islamic Fascists makes me think he is a good man.

many of us do, and far more than the 36% stated by the polls
remember these same polls screwed during his last two elections, after growing up in the regan era, and hearing all the slanderous accusations about the man i was under the impression as a child that he was hatted by all, but when the man dies people were comming by the millions to pay respect to him, but i dont blame you all for your misconceptions. the news tells you that republican office = bad echonomy and your supposed to believe them, they are supposed to be there looking out for us not trieing to pass their own agendas, oil is evil but i defy everyone of you reading this to live a life 100% void of petroleum bassed products, if yop believe the millionares that claim they are out to help the little guy by raising taxes go right ahead, america gives you the right to ignorance

Absolutely.
1. No terror attacks inside our borders in past 6 years (I never thought that possible)
2. Bush Doctrine: Countries that harbor terrorists are equated with terrorists
3. Will follow what he believes is right, even if the polls are against it

-- I don't have to agree with all, or even most, of his positions to admire these things.

i like george. but then...i am australian. i find the american president to be amusing, although it is rather disturbing to know that such a person could be leader of the most powerful nation. hopefully he, like australian prime minister john howard, will be removed soon. erm...but anyway, his arrival is australia for apec, not opec (poor george) was pretty big. a lot of attention from the media. and his plane was impressive. pretty sure howard was extremely jealous. almost driven to tears, actually.

I like George Bush, and I respect him. He is a good man. He has done some good things for the US: the war on terrorism, the booming economy.
He always says his duty is to protect the country. I believe he is really trying his best.

I do. He is a fair man. He states what he believes in and does the best he can to make it so. I am not a Bush fanatic and I have some serious questions I would love to know the answers to.

I do. I am not a "buffoon", "neo nazi", "rich", "his dog", "his wife", "a beleaguered cling on", or "his mom". I like him because he is a Man with a back bone & he knows that he's not a contestant in a populairity contest. I do find the left a rather whimpy bunch that seem to be perfectly capable of name calling and hatred, but little more. I do question their patriotism, their humanity, and their lack of back bone. I find your question repetitive, and boring and only chose to answer it because I am bored. Thanks
