I know that Estate Agents (the business) get 1-1.5% of the sale of the property, but how much will an individual estate agent make in terms of commission in their own pocket?

well, i.e - do they get a % of the amount due to the Estate Agent?

your real estate agents are paid LOW. most agents in my area get 3% and the lister gets 3% as far as the agents split well that depends on the company. Most are 60/40 some are better

6% of sale goes to the brokers .
If there is only 1 , they get the whole thing ,
If the seller and the buyer have an agent ,
They split the 6% .

Entirely depends on the commission they are working for as to the percentage of that that they will get.
