No, this is very unusual.
We normally have a wet periods in the winter and spring, and then we dry out for the rest of the year. In 16 years I have lived here, I have never seen Austin to still get regular rain into July.

No it's not, this has been an unusually wet year all over the state. My mother lives in south Austin and they are lucky to get any rain at all during the summer.

No, Central Texas has been getting an unusually high level of rain this spring/summer. Lake Travis went from half empty to flood levels in just a few months.
Heavy rain/thunderstorms is not unusual, but so many of them right in a row is not normal. It's been much cooler this summer as well.

Not at all, last year at this time my grass was brown and crunchy, and I had to water it like every other day all summer. This year, I have watered about 3 times! They say we will have a wetter and colder winter also!
