As of 2007, Ace of Base are recording a new album, stating on their official website: "we are now back in the studio again, with more inspiration than ever".[9] The band's manager Lasse Karlsson has suggested that it will be released in Spring 2008, and could be accompanied by a world tour.[10]
On August 14, 2007, Lasse Karlsson announced that the band will be playing their first full-length concert since 1996 in Bangalore, India, on November 24, 2007. Later was announcend on www.aceofbase.com that concert will be in St.Petersburg, Russia, on November 17, 2007 and in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 23, 2007

Ace of Base went from being a completely out-of-nowhere phenomenon back in the '90s to the "where are they now" status of pretty much every Euro-pop act that emerged at the time. Sad, because they really are a great pop group. Their last album was 2002's "Da Capo", which had limited European release, but according to their website they are working on a new album which would be their fifth studio release (sixth if you count their greatest hits), and apparently Malin (the blonde one, if you remember from the early videos) is no longer part of the band. Which is sad. :(

they were gone for a while but i think that they are back in the recording studio for 2007. but their upcoming CD won't be released til spring 2008.
