Once again, a neocon has presented a lie.
Bill Maher never said that the terrorists were "heroes", he said they were "not cowards". He then went on to say, "We have been the cowards lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it's not cowardly. Stupid maybe, but not cowardly." I saw the broadcast live when he said it on ABC and was fired from a show called "Politically Incorrect" for being politically incorrect.
And Maher was right for saying it, because if the Bush administration could understand that they were not cowards who would easily roll over and surrender if we throw our weight around, we wouldn't be in this situation now. You cannot outbully people who are willing to die for their cause.
So we've now established that your information is incorrect and just serves to portray an idea that doesn't exist to justify a failed ideology. This says a lot about Republican politics.

I like Maher. He's smart and up to date on the issues. He's mainly a libertarian who will go after any liar and hypocrite.
I do cringe sometimes when his crude comments about an individual go over the top no matter how true they are.
Nice try with the Maher 9/11 bait. He clarified his comment and was still fired.

He's not a popular democratic figure - he's a comedian with a television show on pay cable. He gets paid to be controversial . . . like Howard Stern or Bill O'Reilly.

"Bill Maher never said that the terrorists were "heroes", he said they were "not cowards". "
After the pain that upwards of almost 3000 families were feeling at the time, the fact that Maher said "not cowards" is so much better!!!!

I like him. I would like to see the quote where he referred to the hijackers as heroes. I am calling shenanigans on your statement. Can't supply the quote? I figured you were a liar.

Bill Maher is hilarious, very sharp and extremely witty. Do you have a link to this statement? I would like to read it in its complete context, rather than relying on cherry picking and/or paraphrasing. Thanks.
