Hi,
I have to feel I can answer the question or I've got something to contribute. Sometimes I see interesting questions but other people have already said what I would have done so I can't see the point of repeating it all unless it's in response to something that might boost the questionners faith in their reasoning/philosophy/confidence in themselves in which case I shall just add that I'm in support.
I like questions that make people think in different ways so if someone has already given the first response that came into my head, I might think a bit deeper and come up with another perspective.
Most questions I answer now are my Contacts or ones my contacts have starred. One good reason for this is because I feel I know my contacts and that I am answering something they're interested in and they're not asking for the sake of asking. When I first came on YA I would answer questions seriously then realise the questionners - some of them - weren't that serious about their questions. Also contacts are like-minded and I enjoy their questions. I like serious questions, fun questions, all sorts depending on mood.
I star questions that I find interesting, different, amusing. I also star ones that might be informative and of interest to other people or ones that I think some of my contacts might be interested in. Thanks for the question, it got my mind working: a good mental warm up for the day!!!!

Ya-poo says the criteria for "staring" is finding the Q interesting... and if I answer it, I must have found it interesting, so I star it! (Not to be confused with liking the Q...sometimes a Q makes me so mad I can just barely type my cranky answer!) Generally, the Qs I don't answer are the ones I don't understand, (and sometimes the ones that are clearly not for the general population..) But at lot of times I star a Q I don't understand, because I want to know the answer too! }:>

Giacomo's interior the North end, on Hanover highway. (they have a 2d area interior the South end, i've got confidence on Columbus Ave., yet i've got no longer been to that area). the single interior the North end is a few 10 minute walk from the T (Haymarket end is closest; government center is somewhat extra yet nonetheless close). this is Italian foodstuff, and the superb interior the North end - that's asserting plenty because of the fact this is close to impossible to get a bad meal at any of the eating places there. the reason i think of they're so solid is using the fact they concentration on purely some issues - pasta and seafood fantastically - and do it properly. Their pasta and all their sauces are selfmade and the superb ever. and extremely life like for what you get as properly - maximum nutrition are $15-20 or much less, for a extensive factor. There are a pair of issues to remember approximately Giacomo's: they do no longer take credit enjoying cards. the single on Hanover highway does not take reservations (this is properly truthfully worth the wait nonetheless). and that they do no longer serve dessert or coffee, yet you are able to consistently pass around the line to Mike's Pastry, that's additionally the superb in Boston for that class. they have the superb cannoli (i've got confidence this is nonetheless $2.50 for a extensive cannoli - they have a variety of of alternative pastries for $3 or much less). And great coffee as properly.

Has to be interesting. The fact that it's asked by a contact helps greatly. I'm very generous with stars. I pretty much star everything. Sometimes it's to tell my friends that it's an interesting question, but sometimes, it's more to tell myself that I have answered that question.

To answer it, I have to feel it's okay for me to, that it's meant for everyone and I want to answer it. If I answer it, I am going to star it. Stars serve many purposes.. to show it's interesting, to let contacts see it and sometimes I won't answer, but star so others can see and answer. If I star without answering, it usually means the person is a contact.

If I see that my contact asks it: I answer it and always star it.
If it's an off the wall question that makes me laugh: I answer and star it
If it really peaks my interest: I answer, and will also star unless I don't really care for people read my answer that I know....*blush*
I do find myself only answering my contacts' q's some days, I feel like if they ask one, I should answer, that's why we're contacts. And that takes time...

It is usually from one of my contacts
It is something that I can actually present a reasonable answer
It shows the person cared enough to present it properly
It is from an area that I have at least knowledge about to give an answer that could be considered best

Most the questions I star are jokes I want to show to other people.
