The pentagon said months ago that the military will be completely tapped by April 2008 and would have to start reducing the level of troops by then.
Why is Bush going to pretend that it is his decision versus reality?

They are not. The US military will be firmly locked in a war with Iran by April. President Bush will not leave it up to his predecessor to deal with Iran. He really doesn't trust anyone to get the job done. I can GUARANTEE he will attack Iran before he leaves office. He wants Iran dealt with. I don't know how many times I have to say it before people will get the message. You don't have to be a psychic to work this one out. Obviously you are all easily fooled. That is exactly what he wants you to think. He is not pulling out the troops. It is a ploy. He wants the world to think he had no intention of war with Iran. The best way to do that is say "hey you know what I admit defeat I will start bringing the troops home". It isn't going to happen. How gullible are you Americans? You are easily fooled. Siiiiiggggghhhhh. George Bush went to Iraq to visit General Petreaus a week before he was grilled on capitol hill. He gave the general the briefing and told him to say it was all his own words. COME ON PLEASE WAKE UP PEOPLE. It is so obvious. Why would you think that George Bush would go to all that trouble, of vetoing congress, to send a surge, to only turn around a few months later and say I am pulling the troops out. The man is not admitting defeat. You are only going to believe this when it happens and then you will say "No NO NO. George didn't want to attack Iran, it wasn't planned he was going to pull the troops out" which is EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO SAY.

i does no longer be a great deal shocked if he did. Clinton knocked the militia down via technique of 100s of 1000's. and through it, on an identical time as the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan hit (like the wars or no longer) we've been undermanned and have troops doing record numbers of excursions and expedition lengths. perfect to larger spending on keeping troops in and bigger suicides through greater powerful opps %..

It was already going to happen, because of lack of planning from the Bush admin. Bush has been praying for democrats to pull the purse strings to give him and easy out that he could blame any ill effects on them. unfortunately for Bush and Republicans, they gave him enough rope to hang himself.
it is the secretary of defense's job to run the war he said....secretary of defense calls for a change in direction....by bye rummy.
Let the generals run this war, not politicians he said....majority of generlas start calling for a change in direction...change reports and silence them in the media.
Let's rush off to war before making sure our military is prepared he said....blame clinton for every and all problems.
