A hero is someone who puts aside their own safety, well-being and comfort for the sake of others.

Examples include people from history like Claus von Stauffenberg (tried to assassinate Hitler) or William Wallace (led a revolt against the British in Scotland) to everyday, like fireman and volunteers.

A hero isn't just the person who runs into a house on fire to rescue people. They could be the lady who comforts a lost child in a department store or the people who help push your car to a gas station when it stalls further down the hill.

So basically, a hero is someone who risks all to help without being asked, even embarrassment.

A hero doesn't have to be famous person.

A hero can be someone living in your own house or, down the block.

They can make an impact in your life and help you. One can be a good influence in your life.
