01 Hyundai Tiburon, driver side window will not roll up. i took the panel off and found that something was wrong with the cable that pulls the window. the problem was with a pulley that just wouldnt move the cable at all. Cable is fine, just wont move and i dont want to force it. can a regular mechanic check this out or do i need someone special....if so, who?

I would take it to an auto glass shop! The folks there work on windows all day every day and know how to do the repairs faster and cheaper than anyone else.

Do the other windows work, if not check the fuses. When you press the window switch do you hear a click or does the motor run. if the motor doesn't run then that could be the problem. If it runs and the cable doesn't run, then maybe it might have snapped at the pulley on the motor. good luck.
