Because if you are and you think it is ok to smoke now and quit later; beware as my 26 year old daughter woke up on June 28th with severe headache and ended up having 2 seizures and had a blod clot and anursyn. She almost did not see her birthday on 9-09-07

It was told to me by 3 teams of doctors that the clot most likely came from smoking and birth control pills...! It can happen to young women.

well that is why there are pills like cerazette that is a minipill POP which are indicated for women with diabetes, vascular problems beyond 35 years old and smokers, there is a pill for everyone.

I quit jasmin due to vascular problems, it is true that combined bc pills mess up your vascular system and pressure; maybe her doctor should have been more careful.

Good luck! ;D

you have my empathy, I am outraged frankly that a doctor will prescribe any kind of hormones for women of any age that smoke. I think they should flat refuse to do that and offer other forms of birth control. It is just plain dangerous to smoke and take hormones of any kind, including birth control pills.
