I dont know much about them, but I heard that a US submarine was lost in them.

Anywhere you have limestone and water you will find water filled caves. Caves are always near or on the water-table and the depth of the water-table varies. Cave are also formed by water moving down through limestone from surface rains.

I can find no reference to any submarines in a California cave. I have heard of deep-dive vehicles exploring the entrances of some undersea caves.

That's a half truth. Yes, there are pockets of water underground in California, but there are anywhere else, too. They are completely sealed off from th ocean for the most part (every once in a while you'll find one that's got an open end)

Either way, It's impossible for a U.S. Submarine to get lost in one of those. They aren't nearly that big or complex.

I have lived my life here and traveled all over California and have never heard of such things.

i've been to the Texas Caves too. when i was little. and i've been in these cave in cali... i laid a sh*t in one!
