and if you are supposed to take the husk off before you eat them. then i was asked if i was the person that went to the shop because i had a spanish last name and it must have been me. this is annoying. should i be offended? since i am the only hispanic on staff and all the staff members are educated smart people.

That reminds me of an anecdote I read in Reader's Digest about two people in a grocery store the day before the 4th of July.
Each was buying food for their feasts and they accidentally bumped shopping carts. Each person laughed as they caught sight of their cart's contents.
The Hispanic person had hot dogs and buns and the white person had ground beef and taco shells and cans of refried beans.

okay that wasn't a stupid question someone didn't know and apparently they don't know but you assume they should know where your from.. I'm not cultured I don't know if i'm suppose to dip my bread in itailain dishes!

as for your race hispanic and some mexicans do look alike maybe you should spend sometime with the stupid question asker and enlighten them !
not everyone thinks like you or me and not everyone is as smart as you or me!
try to have some patences with humans period!
yes it is frustrating when you hvae to go over what is common sence to you but someone don't have that same thought..

Don't be offended by such remarks. Roll with them. If you act offended, then you played right into their plans. Joke along with them. I dont know how old you are, but you might start learning to go with the flow.
Or.... explain to them how it offends you. And be outcast, ostracized, alienated. Those things might not happen, but it's up to you to weigh the consequences.
Learn to poke back, if that's within the realm of your personality. If not, then I suggest you just ignore it all.
