A co-worker of mine had a tape recorder in her pocket to record another co-worker who was yelling at her.
Is this practice allowed in the State of Florida?

Yes. The Florida consent requirement only applies to records of phone calls.

I believe that Florida is one of the states that allows tape recording of a conversation as long as one party to the conversation is aware of it and approves. Good for her.

Only legal if the other person knows about it and approves. If not, then it would be dimissed in court.

Not if they plan to use it in court. As far as using it to prove to the boss that it was happening, go for it.
