do they understand what a 5th cousin really is? if they do and they are correct, I believe the blood relationship is so minimal that it won't pose and legal for them or health issues for their children. but they will certainly get teased about it.

Yes it is quite okay to marry a fifth cousin. That's a distant cousin. That certainly shouldn't be a problem. Some people don't even know their 5th cousins. I wouldn't even consider my 5th cousin as a "cousin."

Technically, no there's nothing wrong with dating your 5th cousin. My opinion, however, is that if it's a close enough relation that you know about it and can trace it back, it's too close. But that's just me.

I might be on my own here...but I wouldn't date anyone that I could introduce as a cousin, whether it be a first cousin or a fifth. Numbers don't mean anything to me, it would still be my cousin.

So at the wedding it will pretty much be all in the same family there. They are cousin regardless.

i dont think there is nothing wrong with it. if its alright for royalty its alright for you. your 5th cousin is really distant to you. i would say that your not related.i dont class my 5th cousin as my real cousin. i personally think your sister should go for it.

It's okay for them to date. At that distance, it's possible they don't share any chromosomes.
