Since China is not a democracy, shouldn't the U.S. invade and occupy it along with other countries of the world which do not practice democracy.

Why the heck did you Americans not think about this before invading and occupying Iraq?

Seems like double standards.

If democracy doesn't come naturally it is doomed to fail. We could beat the Chinese military right now, with large losses of life on both sides. We could move in and replace the present dictatorship with a democratice government. Tibet would split off, fighting would errupt between native Tibetans and recent Han immigrants. The same would occur with Xinjiang provence, creating a new Muslim backwater state for us to worry about later. The majority of Chinese would hate us no matter what kind of government they ended up with. We would lose thousands of our soldiers to create a new democratic China filled with people that hate our guts. Sound like a plan?

There are a number of reasons for not invading China.
A) It is a sovereign nation and what happens inside that country is not the concern of the US or any other nation.
B) It would be against the UN charter, and as a member of the UN Security Council, the US would be violating that charter which it is supposed to uphold -- not that it has upheld that or other aspects of the charter over the years, in fact it has violated almost every aspect of the UN charter in the past 62 years.
C) China has over 3 billion people in the country and over 2 million in its military. It could, and most likely would, defeat a US invading force despite the weaponry advantage the US has.
D) Most nations in the world would not agree with the invasion, and would come in on the side of China if the US invaded.
E) The US is not an ideal democracy either. Less than 15% of the eligable voting population actually vote. Many of the laws in the US are undemocratic and violate the terms of "Human Rights" as defined in the UN charter.

Must I go on? There are many other reasons.

If there were a report category for criminal mental deficiency, your question would have earned it. We do not invade Communist China for many reasons, probably high on that list is wanting to avoid starting WW3 and the aftermath thereof. Both sides are nuclear armed, with ICBM capabilities. Yes, we have more, and ours are more accurate, but since it only takes ONE of those things to just RUIN your whole day, and sure as can be they'd get us with a few, there you are. Merely not being a democracy isn't why we'd invade a sovereign nation in any case. I strongly suggest you do some reading.

because china has made great improvements in it social structure and its economy. they also trade and remain friends with just about all countries now. they are not agressive militarily like they use to be and the economy and standard of living in china is slowly moving toward democratic reform. make take some time, but i believe they will make it.

I suppose it is a nation wherein you need to sing to the bar tenders to cause them to pour your drink. In the gigantic rock sweet mountain alcohol trickles from the rocks and the prison there may be product of tin, after they placed you in, you simply stroll correct out once more.

it would be impossible to do for one thing we should be more worried that they might decide to invade us. they have such a large population that they can put 2 million soldiers in the field and have plenty more to choose from. From our point of view that is one war that is not doable
