Ahhhh harsh criteria.....I'd probably say The Soundtrack From The Movie Garden State. Corny and ridiculous as this sounds, I think that CD actually changed my life, or at the very least my taste in music. It definitely snapped me out of my preteen-terrible-pop-music phase,(oh don't act like you don't know what I mean, haha) trying to listen to Avril Lavigne and Hillary Duff and the like.
Runner-up would have to be the new Shins album
