I hate my nose, it causes me a lot of anxiety. It just looks terrible. But I keep thinking to myself "what are you complaining about, there is so much to be grateful for in your life, and ok, you look bad from the side, but from the front you look fine"....

And anyway if I did go ahead and get a 'new' nose, how would I explain it to my parents, sisters, brother, friends... i'd just be labeled as vain and shallow forever in their minds... I can see it coming up in arguments.. "well you changed your nose!"... and it's as if i'd lose my dignity... i've given in to the world in which we live... but damn it i hate my nose... maybe it's better to be ugly then beautiful anyway...

So has anyone had a 'nose job', any advice etc? Thanks

Well, I like my nose but I would definitely have to explain a boob job. I would just tell them that it is like exercising and dieting. You wanted to improve your body and by having a nose job, you upped your self-esteem. Or simply tell them you wanted to.

I know pretty much how you feel. My whole life I was very self conscious of my nose, and after much research and debate I finally went through with the surgery last Spring. The advice I would give you would be to totally go ahead and do it. However, the main thing you will need to to have a "support buddy." First off because you need someone to take you to get the surgery done, and take care of you after, and secondly because no matter how happy you are with the results you will still have moments of doubt after the surgery and having someone there for support is the best thing in the world.
While it may be hard to think about what others will think, you basically need to be selfish and think about how you, and only you will feel with a new nose!! That was probably one of my main concerns after surgery- what people would think, but in truth most people barely even noticed, even some of my closest friends.
Just no matter what make sure you do plenty of research finding a docter, and best of luck!

If your nose bothers you that much and you can afford it, then have a nose job. You don't have to explain anything to anyone. You can't change what others think of you and so what if they think you're shallow. Don't let others dictate how you feel about yourself. You have to do what you feel is right for you. I had a nose job to correct a deviated septum. It wasn't really that painful. I'd do it again if I had to.Good luck. 2D

Nose job is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Save your money and get a boob job. No one will be looking at your nose when you have Double D's.
