180. I just plugged in numbers to figure it out. I started out with 150 and only got 80, so i knew that the original number had to be larger. So i tried 180 next. You'd take 180 and divide it by 5, which gives you 36. Then you take 180 and divide it by 3, which gives you 60. Add 60 & 36 to get 96.

Multply bothe sides by 15 to get rid of the fractions
3X+5X=1440
combine
8X=1440
divide 1440 by 8
=180
