Couldn't "Smellovision" be hazardous to your health? Kind of like microwave popcorn?

Oh, no, nothing is "like" microwave popcorn! LOL!

But, yes, I'm sure Smellovision is a bad idea. I once went to a movie where, during certain parts of the movie, you're supposed to scratch this little scent card and it was an amusing diversion but I didn't appreciate some of the smells.

Television is a concept that will never work. Sight and sound exist for a second then are gone while smells linger. Imagine how bad it would smell after watching an hour long smellovision program. And think about the commercials. Do you really want to experience a smellovision commercials about people suffering with gas
