Will it hurt the car? Will it be very costly to fix?

What kind of idiot do you think I am? I'm just curious as to what happens, I didn't hurt my poor car.

It will definitely hurt your car and it will be very costly to fix!
1st: Do not start the car, if you already have, don't do it again.
2nd: Have it towed to your local dealership
3rd: You will have to drain the fuel tank and flush out the fuel system
4th: You will have to replace the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and fuel filter and maybe some things I have left out.

DON'T TRY TO START IT. have the tank drained and reinstall gas. If just a couple of gallons were put in, don't worry about it. It will run with a little diesel fuel in the gas but may smoke a bit.

My husband did this by accident years ago. What happened was the car quit running and he had to get the fuel pumped out of the tank.

My ex mother in law stopped me just in time...and the older diesel pumps DO HAVE the same size nozzels so I would have did it if she wasnt there....she said I would have to replace the gas tank and fuel lines and maybe some other stuff.

You can't do that by accident. The diesel pump is sized bigger so it won't fit into a regular gas tank. But if you did somehow do it, yes it would mess up your car.

I don't know.
But my dad is supposed to put supreme in his car but he sometimes goes cheap and puts in the other stuff. Not the cheap kind the middle one.

It will smoke and may not run. That's what my husband said.
