Aside from supporting myself, I like the people I work with, l learn a lot from them about many things, and there's nothing good on TV during the day.

I currently am searching for employment, so this question is especially sensitive to me.
First, the most basic reason to go to work everyday, is the need for financial compensation and support. Everyone needs money to live. Working is the most common and most socially acceptable way to make money.
Another motivation to go to work is the desire to do something that will make a positive difference in this world. The desire to create something good is a major reason a lot of people go to work. Creating something you're proud of is a big factor in job satisfaction.
Fighting off boredom is another motivation to go to work every day. Sitting at home with no money and nothing to do is no fun and will usually incite someone to go to work.
Social interaction is another motivation to go to work everyday. The desire to interact with others is a driving force to leave the house and go to work. Humans are social creatures and the desire to talk to others and see others is a motivating factor.

The first thing each day,I hear the alarm clock go off. I try to open my eyes enough to see how to get out of bed. Most every day I will see the face of my wife as she first awakens. As I begin to get dressed and brush my teeth,It occurs to me how beautiful she is. The next thought is usually ,"what a lucky guy I am to have her in my life". After that I notice that she is standing there brushing her teeth and getting ready to put on her day cloths. She is still wearing her sleeping cloths. Those things that women wear to bed at night have names that I do not know. When the morning light shines through that thin night dress,,,I can see the curves of her body as if she were naked. This is when I become absolutely SURE of all my reasons for getting out of bed and going to work each day. There is really only ONE reason. Can you guess what that is?

WHat kind of question is that?

The only reason people go to work is money so you can live. If things we needed or wanted, were free, then no-one would work.

Liking your job and co-workers doesnt motivate you to go. You could do your job as a hobby when you wanted instead of set-hours, and you'd still meet lots of people without working.

I have university to pay for, books, clothing, haircuts, money for going out, car insurnace, gas money, girlfriend, sports......

Knowing that the bills aren't going to get paid, that's motivation enough.
