We are going to Vegas in December to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. There will be a total of 8 of us, for two nights- Friday and Saturday. Any suggestions on where to stay? We are interested in renting a house off of the strip, but still close enough for a cheap cab fair to and from....

Please let me know any suggestions or deals anyone knows of!

Thanks!

it depends how much you're willing to pay for the room. good yet cheap ones: id say monte carlo. very luxiorius and right on the strip!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but looking for expensive then maybe mandalay bay. but i think since you have 8 ppl, you should try mmonte carlo hotel and casino. its on the strip and they just finished remodeling

I would go one of two ways.

Orleans
http://www.orleanscasino.com
Very nice over-sized rooms, and you can get adjoining ones.
The Orleans has a free shuttle to the center of the strip & one over to the Gold Coast/Rio/Palms

Stratosphere

You can get a suite, then get a regular room adjoining the suite. This makes for a great setup
I prefer the Grand suite by a slight margin over either the Casino or Executive suites.

The Palms or the Wynn, because there both fairly new and very modern. The Palms always has non stop parties, and it has one of the hottest night clubs on the strip.

I would stay at the Wynn, as opposed to a house, becasue
-once you get drunk who is going to drive home?
-cab's are expensive
-why catch a cab they you can stay on the strip and eveything you need / want, is close

Try this web site for rooms:

if your planning to PARTY, its best to get a hotel room. You don't have to worry about cleaning.

I do know someone who has timeshare in VEGAS.
