What kinds of things could a library provide that would get you to visit more often? What kind of special events (such as game night or book discussions) would you come to??

I think if there were book discussions geared to genres that teens liked, then they would come to the library. I know there isn't much you can do about the decor, but maybe if you had a teen section with comfy chairs and current books. That would draw me in. Plus if you have free food or charged a small amount then teens would come running.

ok I am not a teen but I do have teens. (They already go to the library) I do have a couple of ideas that might be of use.
Have a monthly drawing for a gift certificate to someplace like barnes and noble or amazon- they can enter the drawing everytime they check out a book. ..or maybe have free Internet access nights, it costs to use it here.

I don't need to go to a library because I have my own little library in my house.

Libraries shouldn't have to have special attractions to get people to read, however, I get a feeling if you serve mountain dew and barbecue you'll have a lot more visitors.

probably books clubs that we could invite friends to with food. And the books have to be really good.
