Standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes, I was 7 months pregnant. I had the tv on in the kitchen and they interrupted the program to make the announcement. I was so scared my legs gave out. I ran the four blocks to my son's school to get him. If you have never seen a huge fat pregnant lady run, let me tell u it's not a pretty sight. When I got to the school all the teachers were standing around in the courtyard with devestated looks on thier faces, and I can remember thinking, " where are all the kids?" It was a small private school. I went to my son's room and all the kids were just sitting there, silent. Very unlike 2nd graders. I grabbed my son and started to leave when his teacher came into the room and told me to just stay there, it would be safer. We live in Texas so I didn't think I was in any immediate danger, so I told her no and started to leave. I guess she called security cause they met me at the gate. I told them they could either move or fight off a pregnant lady. They moved. I guess I kinda freaked but I grew up overseas and there were always terrorist attacks and I remember seeing alot of schools blown up. I got home and sat on the couch and cried and cried. I went into labor 2 hours later. We gave our 2 month premature little girl the middle name Faith, and we celebrated her 6th birthday today with a lot of memories. Some good, some bad.

On this day 6 years ago...
I woke up at 7 am, thinking it would be just another normal, boring day at school.
I remember going to the library and catching a glimpse of a tv in one of the offices. I saw a footage of a plane crashing into a tall building, though I had no idea what was going on at the time, or whether it was real.
The principal announced over the intercom that we wouldn't have recess outside.
Later on, my teacher said out of the blue that she was too upset to teach. Without much of an explanation, she gave us "free time" for the rest of the day.
I came home, surprised to find that my parents were home when they should have been at work...
I saw what they were watching on tv. It was the news.
I felt shock run through my bones as I learned more about the attacks....
I can remember the day so well, too. It's hard to believe that it all happened six years ago, when it could have just been last week.

I was at work and we were all called into the break room which has the only TV in the place. We all stood around in stunned horror and disbelief watching the live news shows of the attacks. The silence in the room was total 200 people silently watching a TV news show.

I was still in highschool, living in my aunt's house. My best friend sent me an SMS about the attacks. I turned on the TV and there it was on the news - I began to feel that no place in the world is completely safe anymore.

I was in college and I had a big project due that morning. I remember being woken up by my roommates watching the tv really loud. I actually was annoyed with them for being rude until I realized what was going on.
My professors canceled class that day.

I had locked myself in a reverberation chamber in Detroit Michigan with the express purpose of writing the software necessary to operate the test equipment for said chamber. I had just come down to the break room for a soda when I heard the news.

Looking on the clock now, I had gotten to paintings approximately 10 mins in the past (7:30 am) and I used to be jogging into my division. One of my co-staff used to be already in and he began to inform me approximately the primary airplane crash into the Twin Towers. He used to be streaming on-line video on the time and we started speakme approximately what a terrible "twist of fate" this used to be. Then the moment crash got here and we checked out every different and learned that this used to be no "twist of fate". Everyone that used to be within the workplace started to collect in combination in a convention room that had a massive monitor TV. Nobody would suppose what used to be taking place and many people started to cry. When the CEO of our corporation arrived, he closed the workplace and instructed each person to move residence in order that we would be with our households. Our corporation misplaced three co-staff within the assault. I can don't forget it simply find it irresistible used to be the day before today and I am losing tears now, simply as I did 6 years in the past.

i came out of the bathroom while i was getting ready, my mom was drinking coffee with the news on, i watched the second plane hit and i screamed at her, "what the hell are you watching?!" it was like a train wreck, you just couldnt look away.
she couldnt even speak, it was horrible. and after all that, i still had to go to class. those planes hitting the towers replayed in my head over and over, all day long.

I was driving in my car in a funeral procession on the way to a cemetery and I turned on the news and heard about the terrorist attack. Just then, a woman in a hejab(Muslim veil) drove by in the other direction and all in the procession turned to look at her.

i was at school i remember they came on the P.A. system and told us that there was a big fire and they were afraid that it would spread so were going home. i don't know if they told us that just because they didn't really know what was going on or if they just didn't want to worry us. but then when me and bff got home we saw it on the TV so . this is probably one of my most memorable memories.
