Right now I am 15 years old, Just started my sophomore year in high school. Right now I plan on taking Drama in school for three years, I also am going to take acting classes/lesson.

In three years I am gonna try to move to L.A. and try to start a career in t.v. acting (I'm not like other kids who want to become a "famous star", I understand how hard it is to become a professional actor, and how only a small amount actually become a "star"; That's not my goal, I am gonna give it my all; Making sacrafices isn't a problem for me). At the moment, I don't know what college I want to attend, but I really don't want to think about that right now. I want to know more about acting, a lot more, right now I am hungry and will do anything.

My question is..... Besides Acting/drama classes what else can get me ready for the real world of acting in L.A.?

Thank you for your time.
Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes.

You'll learn what you need to know in acting school. You'll need to learn about the business. You'll need a way to make a decent living. Figure out a job you can do and still act. Every book store has a section on drama. Read all you can. You sound like you're a lot sharper than almost everyone else. You should do better than almost everyone else in every aspect. Luck.

First off, break a leg!!

Now for the tough part, L.A. can be very cut throat so prepare to work and work. I have heard most actors have 2 jobs while trying break into the business!

97 percent of servers in restaurants in L.A are actors still waiting their break! Don't let it discourage you!! Audition for everything!!

As for living, find roommates, you understand your desire and are supportive!

It have got to be horrible to suppose it is all going to finish on 12/21/12, simply considering a few Meso-American calendar does now not run past that date. You hold making your arrangements to die and I'll plan on having a distinct excursion season with my household and peers.

don't laugh ok? I have a friend, whom i lost contact with, and she is an actress in Spain, on a spanish soap opera. She stays sharp with a game called " Vampire, the masquerade, and " werewolf, the apocolypse". in it, one must become a character. It should help u, but be forewarned, one needs to be 18, or have parents permission. It will help immensely! ps, the two men above me know what they are talking about, listen, ok?
