My mother has been having problems with balance for several years now. She is 90 yrs old. When she lays down she has to be careful to lay down slow so that she doesn't get sick and dizzy. Sometimes when she starts to walk she will get overbalanced. The doctors said that she had an inner ear infection, but that was 2 or 3 years ago. They gave her some meds for it then and it got better but never went away. She would like to find out some vitimans, herbs, or minerals that she can take to help the problem. Thank you very much for your help with this.

Lee:
EVERYday:
8 glasses a water
8 hours of sleep
adequate exercise
30 min of stress relief
balanced diet (particularly good carbs)

Also, see an audiologist. The crystals that control equilibrium may be out of place, and if that were the case then it could easily be fixed by some movement exercises.

Chris: Lee... did that really help? last time I checked you were still having problems with that... now that I think about it you haven't complained in awhile. Or did your mom tell you to stop having problems and you never went to an audiologist?

I don't know about vitamins or herbs that will help, but I don know that they make motion sickness bands that help. Me and my daughter suffer from chronic ear infections and always have balance issues. They make these wristbands for motion sickness that have a little knob that sticks into the inner wrist a little. It's a pressure point that helps restore equilibrium. Using those she won't have to add anything to her body and you can wear there all the time or just when needed. And you can find them at any drug store and I think Walmart.

I use a liniment recipe that I found in an old Herb Doctor book of Jethro Clause. It has Golden Seal, Myrrh Gum and Cayenne pepper, in alcohol for 2 weeks. Shake every day. Pour the liquid into jars. I have the recipe if you want it. email me. This is great for ANy infection!
