There is no point in staying in Iraq when our borders are wide open. We know muslims are boiled up all over the world. So being in Iraq will not stop them from getting to south america, or mexico, and moving right on up to a open, and inviting border.
So WHY is Iraq more important than our borders?
How will 30,000 patrolling iraq stop another attack, but secure borders wont?

You completely miss the point. Securing the borders will not work when neither congress or local businesses do not report illegals and do nothing about the ones that are here already. Having troops over in Iraq helps us by keeping the fight over there instead of here. There have been many plots and most do not involve Mexico so it is foolish to think that closing the Mexican border will totally solve the problem. Securing the borders will definitely help at slowing them down, but it is not the cure all. If we can change the fight over there and win, it breaks up their resolve. It costs us less to it now then to wait until they attack again. Too many people buy into the idea that if we pull out of Iraq it will help us solve problems. No, it will only make it worse as the enemy sees that we have weakened and will attack us even harder. They will only stop when the entire world believes in the same ideas they do. This is a religious war and a culture war, and it has only just begun. There is no closing Pandora's box.

We have over 100,000 troops in Iraq. Talk to your Congressmen about the borders. We need a resolution there FIRST.

So people will forget the bad news regarding the US economy. The lay offs from Mortgage companies can be a domino effect and hurt other sectors.

I don't think it is. If we're concerned about them attacking us here, it makes sense to me to make sure we have our house in order before taking the fight somewhere else.

It's easier to get kickbacks from Iraqi contractors than it is to get them from USA contractors.
When your business is stealing tax dollars, it's better to do it out of country.
