If you're using a high SPF sunblock while you're trying to tan then changes are, you won't see much results. Try using a low SPF, like SPF 15 instead of 30 or 45. You'll be able to tan and protect your skin.

I personally cannot tan at all if I use any SPF, so once in a blue moon I'll tan without using any SPF. But usually I always have sunblock on.

Hope your tan looks great!

LMAO
I so had a great answer, and I also have a filthy mind

I only use sunblock in the begining of summer then I don't use anything. Unless I'm going to be out all day in the sun, then I'll throw on some SPF4

Thanks for the laugh

I use 15 SPF for everyday stuff and I have a pretty good tan. It's enough to protect me from getting burnt but not enough to bloack the rays entirely. It isn't so good if you are going to be out at a baseball game or on a boat. When I am going to be pounded by the sun for awhile I kick it up to atleast 30 spf, sometimes 50.

oh would you just love to know?

No, not really...I can tan pretty easily when I try. I haven't been to the pool in a few weeks, so my tan has faded, but I don't need lotion or anything. Italian blood. The Irish blood in me makes my first sun experience ever summer get my @ss burnt, then I tan.

No, I tan easily, and do not like the stickiness of sun tan lotions on my skin.
My father is German and very fair, and due to his exposure to the sun, he cannot stay long under the sun, he is the one with the million sun blockers in his bathroom shelf.

it is rare that I use sun block but I never seem to burn any more either

i always have it and if out in the sun for hours, I will put some on my ears and the back of my neck

in iraq I never used it, kevlar or a boonie kept the sun off of me and I usually had long sleeve shirts and gloves on the rest of the time... Ya dressed like that in 140 degree weather. you need the gloves so you don't burn your hands when your touching anything.

Hell no because the chemicals on such products are quite toxic and the heat of the sun increases their "evil" effects on our bodies. Plus I was born with a natural tan, and I'm not scared to show it off!
