Joseph Stalin was raised Eastern Orthodox and even studied in seminary. Although his mother wanted him to be a priest (even after he had become leader of the Soviet Union), he attended seminary not because of any religious vocation, but because of the lack of locally available university education.

No.

Stalin was raised as Russian Orthodox but became an atheist when he adopted the Soviet Communist philosophy.

The Atheistic Soviet Union murdered more people in less than 70 years than Catholics have been "accused of killing" in all of the crusades and inquisitions over the centuries.

With love in Christ.
