There are only 2 possible answers: I'm sure one reason MIGHT be because they know that the world would be better off if America was out of Iraq and the middle east. It would also end the killing of many middle eastern people. The entire world knows that except cons who still support Bush.
The other possible reason, which is much more sinister, is that it would have the opposite effect in that it could help a GOP candidate who favors Bush's policies to get elected and give OBL more recruiting power for Al Qaeda. I think either reason is possible. But I think history proves that the first reason is probably the more credible one. OBL isn't stupid. He knows his enemy. He knew the weaknesses of the Soviet Union when that country attacked Afghanistan. But I'm sure he cares about the people of the middle east as well and getting America out of the region to have their own say of what kind of government and leaders they have. The Saudi's have a horrible monarchy that are so cruel to their people and violate so many human rights that I'm sure this has had an impact on OBL from an early age. And, our government supports and arms that government. Bush is even close friends and business partners with the Saudi royal family. The thing you have to remember about Bin Laden is that he is NOT crazy. He's very intelligent and that's what makes him dangerous.
Read Michael Sheurer's books on Bin Laden. He works for the CIA still after 22 years of being an agent and analyst studying the middle east and is the leading analyst in the CIA on Bin Laden. The man knows Bin Laden. It's too bad this White House administration won't listen to him.

As an Independent, I'm disgusted with both Democrats and Republicans. I still can't believe the Republicans chose to nominate "W" over a real candidate like John McCain. I voted with reservations for Gore. I wonder how many people who voted for Bush would have voted differently if they knew then what we know now and what would be different if they had. It is my sincere hope that next time around (if there is a next time), people in this country will take voting for the people who will lead our nation very SERIOUSLY and will do some homework to find out just who they are voting for. I also hope that Democrats, who I tend to side with on the majority of issues, will take into consideration some of the issues that caused people to vote for a Republican regardless of whether it was a man as unqualified as Bush.

First of all, learn to spell his name, Bin Laden. Second, the only reason they would want that is because democrats are the most likely ones to actually leave them alone. Third, does it matter? Even if this is true, does it make the democrats bad people? And if so, how? I'd like some explanation here.

Don't be foolish, they want a republican to win the election. This war in Iraq is the best thing that could have ever happened to OBL. If dems where to win the election, they would end the war. Do you really think OBL wants the war to end. Our genius president and his cronies are playing right into OBL hands…why can't cons see this.

"Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there."
This hardly seems support for the democratic party.
This, though, seems to support the views of the Republican party...
"To conclude," bin Laden says, "I invite you to embrace Islam. There are no taxes in Islam, but rather there is a limited Zakaat [alms] totaling 2.5 percent."
See, it works both ways. I think this proves that Bin Laudin is a republican supporter...that, and the fact that most of his family is deeply connected to G.H. & G. W. Bush.

My guess would be reverse psychology--because they really want the Republicans to win the election. But the guy's kind of crazy, so I could be wrong.

Privately, you know they want the Republicans to win. After all, who else is better able to mishandle the war on terror and open up another front for Al Qaeda like the Bush people did in Iraq?

They'd be the same way if the Dems were in office. They simply hate that we're free to choose and live in personal liberty.
