heyy, im a asian girl, i go to a school which has about 93% black girls, 2% mix-raced and 5% asian

the mix-race girls are soooo popular and get so many compliments because they're light skinned. ive been told by so many girls that they're not going to marry a black man but a white man so they're children will be beautiful with nyc hair.

but to be honest, i don't care, i dnt look at colour but the person :)

Excuse me, but that's crap for the most part. I have a bi-racial granddaughter who will be 3 tomorrow. She started pre-school a couple of months ago and has no problem making friends of any race. The truth of the matter is, all children are going to mirror the attitudes of their parents when it comes to racism. I have seen people look at bi-racial children with disgust, but more often than not, people look at my granddaughter and tell us how BEAUTIFUL, sweet natured, and smart she is. The only people who care are judgmental bigots. People are people, no matter what color their skin is or where they come from. We are ALL precious in God's eyes, and HIS is the only opinion that truly matters!

Kids are taught to be racist. I have a 6 year old that attends a school that is only 6% black and she is 100% comfortable there. Kids are blank slates that are easily influenced. If you say negative or racist things around them they will think that is ok and they will do it as well.

I really believe it has to do with the child's personality itself. Racists breed racists. If your child is friendly and outgoing then kids don't really see color. If you live in an area where it's still not accepted as commonplace then your child may have problems. They show interracial relationship on television all the time now to help with social acceptance. I live in Calif. and have not seen it in the 8 years my son has been in school.

I guess some people are, but not kids unless they are taught by their parents to be that way.

Kids aren't - but their parents can make them that way sadly.
