All i have been seeing are good family hotels. I;d love an economical, clean and quiet place where me and my new hubby can relax by the pool or hot tub after a day visiting the theme parks. Any help would be appreaciated thank you.

What's your idea of economical? The hotels that generally have less kids are also the highest priced. Of course, the Disney and Universal resorts can be romantic in their own ways, but will still have children running around.

Some places near Universal and Sea World that have less kids around, there's:

Peabody

Rosen Centre

Rosen Plaza

Now these cater to the business crowd (hence, less kids), but they have awesome pools and other amenities.

Some Disney-area hotels that have fewer kids:

Grand Cypress

Hope that helps...good luck, have fun -- and congrats!

You might try a Bed & Breakfast Search for something romantic and secluded. But the hotels already mentioned are all good.

Downtown Orlando offers some options away from the tourist crowd but not far from the Parks (10 miles to Universal, 20 to Disney)

The Portofino Bay Hotel, which is affiliated with Universal Studios... it is designed after the town called Portofino Bay in Italy... and it looks to me like a little Venice...
and there is a boat that comes like every 15 or 20 minutes to the hotel to take you to the center of City Walk (which is where Universal is located)
It is very convenient and a beautiful hotel...

I really love the Portofino Bay, beautiful hotel, looks just like a mini Italy, although it's quite pricey, I would suggest staying there at least one night, and then maybe you can move to the ROyal Pacific also on the grounds, which is also nice, but a bit cheaper in price. the Hard Rock hotel is also fun.
