Don't be coy - be honest if you have.

I haven't, but I've been to town today and there are cards and wrappings in one shop and another had all bare shelves because they're stocking them with Christmas stuff tonight.

Bonkers if you ask me.

I have 5 kids and 3 grandchildren with another one due in a couple months, so I can't afford to wait until the last minute. I also have a few birthdays in the upcoming months that I need to shop for.

I was thinking about asking this question couple days ago, guess I'm not the only one with the holidays on my mind.

Have a nice day, even if you're not bonkers. ;)

Yes, but barely. I used to think it was totally insane too, but the last couple of years my husband and I have been picking up gifts as we see them (especially things on sale or clearance). I think this year the earliest I picked up anything was June. It's nice on both the wallet and the stress level come Christmas to have a portion of the gifts already purchased. I probably won't be completely finished until just a few days or a week before Christmas.

Yes I have bought a few things but only because they were on sale.

I used to work in retail and used to think it was bizzare to have christmas stuff on the shelves at this time of year, then a sweet old lady told me one day that she had a few grandchildren and she appreciated being able to buy somthing every week then by christmas she would have enough gifts to give them all a little something.

After all, if people didn't buy the stuff the shops wouldn't sell it!

I usually start in September cos I have 2 birthdays in October and November so I can buy my birthday and christmas presents at the same time or if I see something that I know someone will like I'll just get it there and then.

My god people! First, embrace Halloween and then Thanksgiving. Halloween is just for you guys to get free candy, then Next month, a free meal, then free gifts!
But no. You want to go straight to the gifts. I buy my Christmas gifts the day after Christmas to get ready for the next year. In other terms-I did my Christmas shopping on the 27th of 2006.
