Not usually, although the delivery should be covered, and all of the child's care thereafter.
Pregnancy is considered a "preexisting condition" and most insurance companies have a restriction on that. It varies from state to state but generally won't cover pregnancy-related office visits for the first 9 months or so. This protects the insurance company from people who take out a policy just because they are pregnant, and then drop the policy afterward.
You should, however, be able to get medical assistance through your state. Also, if you are a minority, there could be additional sources of medical assistance available to you. Just walk into your doctor's office and ask.

My boyfriend was able to add me to his Humana insurance because they started this Life Partner thing. I had to sign a document saying that I will be with him for a long time. So you have a chance, call the insurance company and ask. Good luck. If that don't work try medicaid. They cover everything, no co-pays.

I don't believe so, but you'd have to have him check with his insurance company. Spouses can be added, but I'm not sure about boy/girlfriends, considering that can be a temporary situation... My guess would be no, but who knows since you're carrying his child. Sorry, I wish I could have been more helpful!

Usually you have to be married for insurance to cover you and your pregnancy... have your boyfriend check with his insurance or with his company HR person to find out of they offer any other options (such as domestic partners...)

No. You have to be married in order for you to be covered. The baby will be covered. The Domestic partner law usually only pertains to homosexual couples because they legally cannot be married.

It all depends if his company covers domestic partnership. You need to call his benefit department and ask them if they cover domestic partnership and if so how do you apply. Good luck!
