Sweet & sour don't neutralize eachother. Acids (such as citric acid in lemons) are neutralized by bases (such as baking soda). When you mix baking soda and vinegar, it reacts because the acid in the vinegar (acetic acid) is being neutralized. Pouring sugar on a lemon doesn't make it less sour, it only makes it more sweet.

No. Plum sauce and candy and bitter sauce are actually not the comparable... actual it fairly is kinda humorous that I chanced in this question, because of the fact I purely have been given back from chinese language dinner... besides, plum sause is extra of a pink/brownish colour- candy and bitter sauce is extra crimson-orangish. plum sauce is extra often than not purely candy, at an identical time as candy and bitter is mind-blowing yet tangy. desire that helps.
