The Buddhist belief is that one can escape to anywhere once you learn how to meditate. One will find that the mind's eye will focus on, and find, inspiration that was not necessarily aware to the concious mind.

That depends on where you are. If you are up North go to Canada then make your way to Alaska. If you are near Mexico go there then make your way to the Amazon Basin. The ultimate hiding place. Go far enough in no one will ever find you but you will have to live like a native. That dose it I'm off to the Amazon. Of course I'll have to be careful of the ants and the flesh eaters. Or you could runaway to Texas. Has a lot of wide open spaces.

Don't know what you're running away from, but Canada seems a reasonable choice. They have low crime, haven't incurred the wrath of all the Arab states yet (although they have tried), and they have a lot of land that nobody is fighting over. Best of all, they don't murder Americans (I can't understand this). But then you'd have to live in Canada. Bummer. Give me the beaches of California or the sweet desert and mountains of Arizona any day. I'll just cope with all the problems we have.

How old are you, before I answer? Terrible things happen to runaways in our society, usually forced prostitution,or what used to be called while slavery. Believe me,you don't need it. If things are that bad at home, try to arrange to lodge with relatives and if that fails talk to your school psychologist about a foster home. Don't run away.
Now,if your an adult who just wants to totally cut away from their current lives, the best bet is Guyana.

I used to leave a window unlocked at my school so I could get in there . . . it had bathrooms, showers, a library, and no one expected a kid to runaway to school.
