I suggest that you read The Wasp Factory or Complicity by Ian Banks. My English teacher suggested that I read the catcher in the rye, and that the Ian Banks books are as good and on the same sort of level as a Catcher in The Rye... all of them are on my reading list for A-level english.. Hope you find sometihng you enjoy!

If you liked *Catcher in the Rye*, try *On the Road*, or *Invisible Man*. Somehow, both end up in the same part of my brain as *Catcher*.
