I'm 4 days late...took a home test yesterday and one today (unfortunately didn't take either first thing in the morning like it suggests) both say negative, but i'm still confused why im late, never have been that i can remember, i haven't had any stress, nothing new has changed, can't see that theres ANYTHING different this month than there was last month....i'm going to go get a blood test later today but the unknowing of this is making me craaazy! So basically what i'm asking is if anyone else has experienced this or any advice? It will definitely be appreciated! Thanks :)

It may be too early for the test to show. If you are only 4 days late than you may need to wait a few weeks and test again. There most likely isn't enough hormone buildup in your body yet to prove it positive. Or, you can have several other reasons for being late. Change of lifestyles, medicine changes, stress, lack of sleep, etc. Give it a week or two and if you don't start, then do another test. If it still is negative and you are still not having a cycle I would visit a GYN to make sure that something else isn't going on.

There are many girls who don't show positives on hpt's. I've known 3 myself close friends and family.. and I hear of many more on here. I'm going through the same thing. I'm 8 days late and I've been trying to conceive but I keep getting negatives. But yes see your doctor and get a blood test and good luck!!! :)

sometimes it can take up to a month for the home pregnancy tests to be accurate. the blood test is a good idea. i took two pregnancy tests and they were negative until i was 4 wkspregnant! good luck i hope u get the answer u want

At 4 days late and the test says no then you are probablly not! Once in a while a normal cycle can get thrown off for no reason!

Well...it had happened to me before...but i was 1 month late.. but I was using a birth control pilll ....and I was using that birth control pil for 5 years and it had never happened before...so it was strange..but then they told me that was one of the side-effects of the pill... :s But i suggest to take a blood test....and ask the Doctor about it.. but the more crazy you get for not knowing....the more it will delay your days....so try to stay cool (I know it's not easy..)

same thing going on here... only difference i'm 5 days late with 2 negative test reults but still no period...only a blood test can work for both of us..lol..good luck

I actually took a pregnancy test late once and it showed positive and I was indeed pregnant.
