George W. Bush is serving his second term in office and will complete his term limits at the end of this. He cannot be re-elected EVER AGAIN without a change to the Constitution.

... George H. Bush however, only served a single term and could, in theory - be re-elected if he chose to run.

The fact that a man winks in no way should be a reasoning behind your voting. Unfortunately, President Bush may only serve 2 terms. May God have mercy on America because I am afraid of what liberal communist jerk might get put in the white house next.

Sorry, no he can't.

"Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress."

Oh my -- please tell me you are not serious!

If not, then what is the world coming to if our Voters base their decision on winks and the like.

I am personally counting down the days until "Mr. Bush" is out of office because the only Bush I trust is my own!

There is a "term limit" of 8 years,

but some people (posting to reddit.com) think it is a mistake to believe this is the end of it.

The law is he can only serve 2 terms. In his case 2 terms are 2 too many.
