I have decided that I do not want children, and my husband agrees with me. We spend time with nieces and nephews, but also spend a lot of time on our careers (and I work with kids, which I love). Of course, we are missing out on having our own kids... but are also missing out on the stress and negatives of having kids... Every choice in life brings pros and cons. We have decided that this is the best thing for us right now.

I don’t like them, so I had a vasectomy when I was 21. My girlfriend had her tubes tied in her 20’s as well. Neither of us ever wanted children.

What could I ever be missing out on? All my friends whom have children do nothing but complain about them.

If anyone is “on the fence” about having children, I can get them over to my side by showing them all the stamps in my passport.

If you are “on the fence” just remember this: If is better to regret not having children than to regret having them. Too bad so many people that have them, but can’t admit in public that they wish that they didn’t!

yes. I really want kids right now, but my husband has to bring my head out of the clouds and remind me that we don't have what it takes to give a kid a good home right now. We live in a one bedroom apartment with two cats, theres no where i could even imagine putting a baby and baby stuff! and right now we can't afford to get a bigger apartment, so we deffinitly don't have money for a baby! but i can't wait to have kids!

I don't have kids because I am not ready, and yes sometimes I feel like I am missing out but I keep reminding myself that one day I will have kids.

Most definitely! I think that kids can bring so much joy to our lives! They constantly have something cute or funny to do or say and are so animated! I see my friends kids and my niece and just can't wait til the day I am married and ready to bring a little bundle of joy into this world!!!

Of course, and no, every decision in life has its pros and its cons. In this day and age, and with the challenges our youth are going to have as adults, I am very satisfied with my decision not to have children and live vicariously through my nieces and nephews.
