america, then who should we put our faith in the truth in, regarding the situation in iraq? please name one person more credible than him. reps and dems alike who question the generals loyalty, give me one name of who is more trustworthy.

I go along with you. The general has nothing to gain or lose, no matter what is in his report. He is not running for political office.Need I say more/

I think the facts speak for themselves. All the Democrats & Moveon.Org people can do is yell "Liar Liar", but indisputedly there have been more areas secured, more cooperation from the Iraqi Sheiks, more AlQaida killed, more weapons discovered.
The sad thing is that Democrats are openly and heavily vested in our military's failure. I can't fathom how any American, no matter how much you despise our president or his policies, can root for our failure and contest our successes.

If not Petraeus, then whatever fine person behind him next in line that the military can offer. The military is not a democratic institution. It's higher level personnel earn their position by a lifetime of service. They do not campaign and are not political. If you can't trust those people, who can you trust?

How about someone that is independent and not 100% dependent on the President for his job.......

If you had a boss that was known to fire those that disagreed with him, what would you do?
