around 9/11 all these emails and stuff go out showing pictures of the twin towers burning and collapsing. why is it at the end it always says "we remember 9/11". if so many people repost and send it on then why don't they really "remember 9/11"? why don't they support the Iraq war? our soldiers are in Iraq to do many things, among them to fight the guys who made 9/11 happen. i want our troops to come home too, but as long as they're out there we all need to remember 9/11 and SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. thoughts?

Thats a good question. I suggest you email it to every American out there and also put it into all the newspapers. There is another one going around the web about the same thing. Today everyone is suppose to be flying the Flag in honor of 9/11. The email letter said: How come when 9?11 occurred, everyone had a flag on their car and flying at their job and their homes and now you can't find any of them flying at all?" So they suggested that today we all fly the flags again and this time keep them up. Americans are quick to forget. They get so busy with their own problems that they forget that we are "one nation under God" and not just an individual living in this country. They soon forget that there is "safety in numbers" and a "3 strand cord is not easily broken." So they get lax in things that meant something, even get tired of it. That is why we get our butts kicked, like at Pearl Harbor and the twin towers. Like the saying that is going around these days, "America will not fall from an outside force, it will be destroyed from the inside out." It is high time we really stand together as one STRONG ARMY and not as a whole bunch of individuals living in the same country. The US Army has a motto now. "You made them strong. We'll make them Army strong." Well, America had better start living that as one big pooled together country or we will be living defeat from another one. There is a certain country that has been teaching their people that there is NO good American out there. When anything good happens to someone in that country, they thank the President of that country and promise to "kill all the Americans" for that president. Scripture says "When two or more agree on any one thing, it shall be done." If a whole country is in agreement that all Americans should be killed, then that is pretty scarry and the outcome will be far worse than any 9/11 ever thought of being if they ever get a chance to try it. The problem with America now is that there are too many dictators in a democratic government. Democracy was set up to 'band together' as a strong nation all on the same team. All we have are a bunch of different parties at war with each other over who is the better ones and who can outsmart or outlie enough to get the people to vote for them. Unity has gone out the window in America and with it, will soon go our freedom if Americans don't start pulling together in one accord for the sake of our country and world peace and freedom.

Yeah, I know what you mean. At the beginning of the war, I think that at least 50% of Americans or more supported the war but as the years passed by, it seemed like nothing was getting accomplished so many people don't support the war as they used to.

To be honest, at the beginning of the war, I supported it but now I don't support the war like I used to. There is no way that America can wipe out terrorism in Iraq and the middle east because just as fast as the military is killing them, there are thousands more being trained everyday.

I just want the military to kill Osama Bin Laden and get the majority of our troops the heck out of the Middle East. It's time for other countries to solve their own problems and defend it's own countries.

yes but the feeling, right or wrong, is that the invasion of Iraq is stupidity, when Saddam seemed to know how to do the job the US gave him to do. Iraq was always a part of Syria and Iran, only for the past 50 or so years has it existed as a separate country, just like Israel, Pakistan and Northern Ireland it's an invention of the, dividing and conquering British. Well Iraq no longer exists, the people have left and the buildings have been destroyed,so that's that, it is returned to Iran and Syria who actually care

I remember... who could forget?

We aren't in Iraq because of a DIRECT effect of 9/11. We are in Iraq because of the WMD's they were supposed to PROVE they didn't have.
Saddam didn't allow weapons inspectors in to make sure they DIDN'T have WMD'S.
There were AT LEAST 16 (by my memory) warnings that they had to prove there weren't any.
Saddam didn't comply.
Then, I don't even rememeber everything that happened, and there's much confusion as to why people voted for the war, before they voted against it or didn't at all.... blah blah blah.
So, maybe your true confusion is because ALL politicians are PURPOSLEY confusing the situation and twisting and spinning everything.
I'm way too busy in my life to try and find all the information, as I'm sure most Americans are.
Therefore, it's politics as usual.

Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11, that mess came from Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

I agree, you are confused. What does this war have to do with capturing and punishing Osama Bin Laden who was the mastermind behind the 9-11 attacks? This war has gone on long enough.

Right on, Anonymous! But change your question's title to something like 'I'm confused about Iraq and 9/11'.

Slimeyfinger, you say you agree with Anonymous, but you don't. Read the question again. And please don't broadcast slander like 'Our President sucks'. You might forget yourself and do that someday in a country that is not so tolerant.

The war in Iraq is not because of the 9/11 attacks. I was for the war in Afganistan but not this one. It is turning into another Vietnam war.

But of course, we must support our troops.

911 was not attacked by Iraq but Iraq is a breeding ground for terrorists. We should be fighting in all the areas where the terrorist population is heavy.

I agree. Our troops need to come home. They have been away from home too long for no reason at all. And the people who have sent them to Iraq eat dinner in their pajamas everynight and take thier lives for granted.
