A shortage of electrolytes can occur from sweating. Electrolytes affect the ability of muscles to contract and relax. Usually exercise and sweating causes a disproportionate loss of electrolytes needed for muscle contractions, ending up with an excess of electrolytes that cause the muscles to relax. Low electrolytes usually cause symptoms such as headache, muscle weakness, severe fatigue, dizziness, and nausea. It's very unlikely that an electrolyte imbalance from sweating would cause nervousness, but its not impossible since the composition of sweat and intake of electrolytes varies considerably from person to person.

However, low blood sugars often cause a person to feel shaky and nervous.
