Yes. It is extremely dangerous for Americans to enter into foreign engagements where decisions for Americans are made by non-Americans. The Founders believed that we should coordinate but never consolidate our free and independent society with foreign nations.

"The developing coherence of Asian regional thinking is reflected in a disposition to consider problems and loyalties in regional terms, and to evolve regional approaches to development needs and to the evolution of a new world order." -- Richard Nixon, in Foreign Affairs (October 1967)

Many people took this quote completely out of context. He was speaking rhetorically, as all politicians do; read it a few times and notice that it is phrased in such political dress, that a rational person would not find anything either pro or con about that quote! If you search your local library or the internet, you would be very hard pressed to find ANY legitimate website that refers to his foreign policy (either Asia or elsewhere) in those terms or by that phrase.

Even your question is rhetorical, in that you do not specify what, specifically, you consider to be the "NWO".

Nixon was one of very few U.S. Presidents to actually commit to bringing Asia into joining the rest of the world on an economic basis. Regardless of your political leanings or, less important, personal feelings toward the man, very few people would argue that he was very strong and respected on foreign policy, around the world. He was a true leader in every sense of the word, both at home and abroad. The US will never see his like, again, much to my dismay.

The only responses you are going to get are people who see only the name "Nixon" and completely misconstrue your "NWO" phrase. In other words, their responses will be personally motivated, and, most likely, historically inaccurate and foundless.

In conclusion, your question is vague and unanswerable; not only that, but it sounds like a very bad homework assignment to me! ;)
