The Owners Manual will tell you. Generally speaking, however, if most of your driving is short trips or lots of stop-and-go driving, you really should change your oil every three months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. But if you do mostly freeway driving, you can get away with changing your oil every six months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Look in your car manual or on their website. You might also have a 1-800 number to call. The general rule of thumb for changing oil, however, is every 3,000 miles. My last car lasted to 180k (until an uninsured guy totaled it). I changed the oil every 3k and rotated tires every 2-3 oil changes.

As Sarge has said, the answer is in the owner's manual. If your MB is still under warranty, you may want the dealer to do the work. It makes it easier if you have a problem and you take it in. You wouldn't have to prove that the oil was changed.

If your MB is out of warranty, then you can do it yourself. I use Mobil One synthetic oil myself, but to each his own. With the synthetic you can get a little more mileage out of the oil and won't have to change it as often. As long as the car is out of warranty.

good luck.

usually it`s every 2000-3000 miles as oil tends to break down with the heat of the engine, depending on what oil you use if you take it to a shop they usually put a sticker on the windshield with the odometer reading on it when they changed the oil, keeping your oil changed regularly keeps your engine running better and it`s alot cheaper to change the oil than buy a new car

Depends on the type of oil, regular oil appx 3000 miles, synthetic will no break down as fast and you can run it for 6000 miles. When GM was paying for the first change, and would pay the extra for synthetic, it convinced me that the synthetic was best.
