my mate told me a scary real story once she and my other mate where walking home and she got grabbed and pulled along and this thing held her but there was nothing there,?? she couldnt get away from this thing.. untill my other mate seen it. they said it was a figure with a black cloak on was it a ghost off some sort?? or some bad demon type?? she swears she aint lying and it spooked her.. what is this thing do u guys no???

OK A BIT MORE AS 2 UNDERSTAND the thing that grabbed her only dissapered when my other mate seen it the thing ... just vanished it wasnt human ....

First thing is, If believe, trust in the person giving you this information then have an open mind.
Weather true or false this person is opening up to you, help her find the truth out by reading stories, books and talking to people in the field of the unexplained, etc....
It doesn't mater if we believe of not, she does, so therefore it did happen to her (No one is going to make her change her mind, Until a good explanation).
I have seen a black shadow hoovering above my head, tiring to attack me, along in days to follow red glowing eye's. ( 4 others witnessed the glowing eyes, same rented home.)
unknown at this time there had been 3 deaths in this home years before hand.
My guess is an evil spirit or if not the devil him self!
Sorry as for really knowing what any of this stuff was or is, I can't be much help, but please do research on this matter.

So to be sure I am correct, the friend who was grabbed could not see who grabbed her but others who watched the event could see who grabbed her?
Unless the observing friends describe the figure as anything other than wearing a black cloak I would say the grabbed-friend probably was just too frightened to register her assailant. Being grabbed randomly while walking is enough to strike utter terror into people and in such a situation people may see things that aren't there and visa-versa.
Failing that mundane explanation, it could also be a case of Shadow People (though I've never heard of a case where some could see the thing and others couldn't). Can't say myself if Shadow People are real or not, but there are quite a few people who claim they are and I generally find them more probable than other paranormal creatures. See link below for basic info on them.
In the end, however, it doesn't really matter what might have happened but what your friend believes happened. Unless your friend is prone to fooling you (and you might want to specifically ask her if she is trying to trick you), I would say you should believe her.
Is it real? It was real for her, which should be all the "realness" you need. Knowing the truth is good, but secondary to being there for your friend.

You live in an old land, well lived on. Many human cultures have left there mark there and pre human cultures as well.
The could be a very simple answer that someone with a dark cloak. Or you could consider your local history and look beyond the mundane.

I'm undecided on the whole ghost issue. I think your best bet thought is to look into the local history of the area where the spook was spotted

well if you are asking if it is real then we don't know that since we did not see it. But it doesn't sound like a demon to me as demons that wear hoods are not very common. Some kind of spirit maybe but not a demon.
that is if it is real which i cant vouch for

No idea. Sounds lie a strong bloke wearing a cloak.
Go back near to where it happened (with some friends) and look to see if the "thing" shows up again.
Ask him who he is and what he thinks he's playing at?

this is a personal spiritual thing, whether angel, demon or ghost but that is why no one else should have seen it
tell your friend that a native american spiritual adviser would help
